Import & container orders
From UK stock orders to full containers, we support trade buyers with bulk supply and export arrangements. Our annual imports of 3,600 containers underpin the range and volumes we offer.
Three thousand six hundred containers a year
Roughly ten containers a day, arriving into 91,000 m² of warehousing across England. Sourcing runs from India, Vietnam, Thailand and China, and the brands follow the sourcing: Challenger, JK Tyre, TVS Eurogrip, Alliance, Galaxy, CEAT and MRF Tyres from India; Advance from Vietnam and China; Samson and RoadTrack from Vietnam; Aerotyre and Groundspeed from Thailand.
Aerotyre and Challenger are our own brands, specified and warranted by GB Tyres.
Direct importing supports our trade pricing and stockholding of more than 220,000 tyres, giving dealers access to a broad range of products from UK stock.
Container and bulk orders
Container and bulk supply can suit dealers planning seasonal stock, groups combining orders across branches and customers buying larger volumes of a particular brand.
| Option | Suits | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Bulk order from UK stock | A dealer wanting depth now | Picked from the 220,000-plus tyres already landed. Runs on the normal 18:00 cut-off and delivery lead times |
| Part-load | Orders too big for a pallet run, too small for a container | By arrangement, on our own fleet where the destination allows |
| Single-brand container | Stocking one brand in depth, often a house brand | Specified against your sizes. Longer lead time, quoted per order |
| Mixed container | Covering several sectors in one shipment | Mixed by size and brand across the range we import |
| Export | Buyers outside the UK | Quoted per shipment against an agreed Incoterm, with documentation to match |
Export
We supply export customers as well as the UK trade. An export order needs more agreed at the outset than a domestic one: the Incoterm, who arranges and pays for freight and insurance, the documentation the destination requires, duties and taxes, and how payment is secured.
Send your sizes, quantities and destination port to the desk. We will prepare a quote and agree the shipping, documentation and payment arrangements before you place the order.
The Republic of Ireland runs on the standard delivery network rather than as an export shipment — four working days from the 18:00 cut-off. See delivery and cut-off times.
What to send us for a quote
- Sizes and quantities, with load index and speed symbol where it matters, and the pattern type — steer, drive, trailer, radial agricultural, and so on
- Brand and tier, or tell us the price point and let us propose the brand
- Destination — a UK delivery address, or the port and country for export
- Timing, including any date the stock has to be on the ground by
- Incoterm, for export, if you already work to one
Container lead times are longer than stock lead times and are quoted per order. If the stock is already landed in England, it moves on the ordinary next working day service instead.
Seasonal buying
Plan ahead for seasonal demand with container supply and credit terms of up to 120 days, subject to account approval. Our team can discuss payment terms alongside your order requirements.
